The Bach Concerto You Played That Evening
I'll never forget the image of you playing Bach's Concerto for Two Violins, Strings and Continuo in D minor that evening. That slow, lyrical 2nd movement was like a sharp arrow which pierced straight into my heart, bringing about a wealth of passionate emotions. Despite the annoying murmurings of the unappreciative audience in that casual recital, you have shown yourself to be calm and deeply absorbed in caressing the best tone out of your violin, with no hint of any urgency in your music.
